Publicis Groupe’s ‘Team Sprint’ plays safe with basketball for ad debut

You can’t really go wrong with basketball in the US so Publicis Groupe’s ‘Team Sprint,’ the client-focussed team that won the $1bn account from Omnicom’s Goodby Silverstein last year, is relying on NBA star Kevin Durant to plug its unlimited data storage facility ‘Doodle Jump’ in its debut ad.

Team Sprint is made up of representatives from Digitas and Leo Burnett, among others. Digitas is supposed to be the lead agency but the CCO on this is Leo Burnett’s Susan Credle. But a gaggle of other senior creatives are listed too so we don’t really know who did the work.
