Mother’s geeks land Acer Ultrabook global launch

Publicis Groupe’s number two Jean Yves-Naouri described modern advertising as ‘geek but deep’ the other day and ad agency Mother in the UK seems to have had the same thought.

The agency has followed its appointment to handle handset company HTC around the world with another big global tech account, the launch of Acer’s Aspire S5 Ultrabook. Acer claims this outdoes the likes of Apple’s MacBook Air, weighing in at 15mm and 1.35kg with a long life battery. Mother beat two other agencies to the business.

Mother partner Dylan Williams says “We’ve been putting a lot of thought into both our global and technology offerings of late. Winning the worldwide launch of Acer’s Ultrabook is a sign this effort is bearing fruit.”
