Now Chrysler’s Ram picks on Ford trucks

General Motors’ Chevy Silverado truck made a big splash in the Super Bowl with its ‘Apocalypse’ ad knocking Ford trucks and now Chrysler is having a go with this ‘Truck Month’ ad from The Martin Group claiming a Ford F150 is just like a Ram 1500 but without all the good bits.

Ford was thoroughly miffed at the Silverado spot which GM CMO Joel Ewanick cheekily aired on YouTube prior to the Super Bowl, giving Ford lawyers time to write an angry letter demanding the ad be withdrawn, which GM loftily ignored.

Sooner or later Ford will have to find another way of hitting back. Should be fun.
