The pair spent four years at Grey Paris following time at JWT Paris and BBDO Milan. They have won Cannes Lions for SHS Teen Clothing, Febreze and Buttero boots plus a number of other awards.
Energy BBDO has been one of the shining lights for BBDO recently, voted the world’s best network in the 2011 Gunn Report. Energy BBDO carved up the $1bn SC Johnson account with WPP’s Ogilvy & Mather when it quit DraftFCB last year.
Energy has also been shuffling to furniture at its Chicago HQ, killing off its Proximity brand (it calls Proximity a ‘digitally-minded consumer engagement agency’) and folding it into the main agency, according to AdScam blogger George Parker.
As George puts it: “Proximity Chicago, which used to call itself ‘A digitally-minded consumer engagement company,’ whatever the fuck that is, is no longer engaged with anything. Cos it no longer exists. Not that you would know if you relied on the ad trades instead of glorious AdScam for your news. Proximity has been folded into Energy BBDO. And, it’s like it never fucking existed.”
