London’s M&C Saatchi, which folded its first stab at New York into its Los Angeles office in 2007, is returning to the fray with a new operation headed by former Euro RSCG CEO and chief digital officer Jeff Brooks (pictured).
The news won’t have the kings of Madison Avenue quaking in their boots but M&C has made a pretty good fist of creating a substantial UK operation and a viable international network with 25 offices in 20 countries since the Saatchi brothers were defenestrated from their original creation in 1994, as profits collapsed at what was once, briefly, the world’s biggest agency group.
Digital expert Brooks worked at Atmosphere BBDO, Grey and Ogilvy before joining EuroRSCG 4D in 2006. He will report to M&C international boss Moray MacLennan. The revived agency will operate out of a New York office that houses other group companies M&C Sports & Entertainment, M&C Saatchi Mobile, and brand consultancy Clear.
