Casting Sir Martin Sorrell away to a desert island – now there’s an idea!

Only joshing of course, what would we do without him?

But the emperor of WPP made an appearance on the BBC’s Desert Island Discs last week and fans – or should that be ‘frenemies’ – can listen to the great man here.

There are too many goodies to list but at one point presenter Kirsty Young says to him: “You don’t strike me as a man who’s riddled with self doubt” or some such. Got it in one, Kirsty.

And Sir Martin’s taste in music? Everything from Gracie Fields to Chet Baker and the Beatles. And Sting’s ‘Englishman in New York.’ No, it wasn’t written about you Martin!
