Grey Ireland shows new UK Vodafone agency RKCR/Y&R how it should be done

London agency RKCR/Y&R recently won an internal WPP pitch for the £47m Vodafone account, something of a poisoned chalice for agencies including Bartle Bogle Hegarty and JWT in the recent past.

But Vodafone in Ireland has been producing some work with a human face recently out of Grey Ireland and it remains a mystery why Grey wasn’t even included in the WPP UK pitch.

Anyway here’s Grey Ireland’s Christmas effort for Vodafone, ‘It’s the little things’. Like its agency peers it’s been trawling through the music archive too, coming up with old rasper Jimmy Durrante and ‘Make Someone Happy.’

Creatives were Sam Haynes and Lee Trott and it was directed by Aoife McArdle for Independent Films.

Agreed it’s lovely. Only thing in it was done out of the London office of Grey.
