Del Campo Saatchi invents the BGH musical microwave

Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, the much-awarded Beunos Aires flagship of the Saatchi & Saatchi network, has invented what it claims is the world’s first musical microwave oven for its client BGH.

Called the BGH Quick Chef Music, the microwave plays your chosen music track when your food is ready thereby evading the notorious ‘beep..beep..beep.’ The microwave comes complete with speakers and a USB port.

Apparently a trial run of 1,000 of the new microwave sold out in a week so BGH, better known for its air conditioners, is to launch the product nationally in Argentina next year.

The microwave was produced by German speciality chemicals firm Evonik’s Creavis NPD operation. One Marcelo Da Torre, who presumably hails from Del Campo Saatchi, must be the first person to be credited on a commercial for microwave product development.
