James Murdoch is going to jail soon and dad Rupert will follow in two years’ time says Adweek editor and Murdoch biographer Michael Wolff

Yes he did, really.

Well the new editor of Adweek and authorised Rupert Murdoch biographer (‘The man who bought the news’ published in 2008) has never been a man to mince his words and, as you can see from the above, he doesn’t.

Wolff’s forebodings (if such they are) are clearly nor shared by the BSkyB board which has just confirmed James Murdoch as chairman, following its declaration of more than £1bn profit.

But James is due another performance before the Parliamentary culture, media and sport committee after elements of his initial evidence about phone hacking to it were flatly contradicted by News of the World editor Colin Myler and legal manager Tom Krone. Both men are now of out of a job and so they’re dangerous.

But jail for Murdoch pere et fils?

Wolff is out on a limb here but he clearly knows his stuff about the Murdochs. James and Rupert clapped in irons? Maybe they’ll deport them to Botany Bay (the Aussies might object of course).
