Coca-Cola is making good use of its agencies around the world these days as it celebrates 125 years in business and multi award-winning Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi in Argentina has produced its first campaign for Coke’s Sprite Zero called ‘substitutes.’
The campaign, written by Mateus Eusebi and art directed by Ammiel Fazzari plays on male fears of rivals in love, depicted as a bench of football-style substitutes ready to take the hapless lover’s place. Sprite Zero is their drink of choice.
The campaign launches in Argentina this month and will then be rolled out to Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay.
Sprite Zero was the first Coca-Cola company ‘zero’ brand. Originally known as Diet Sprite it was renamed Sprite Zero by the company’s marketing team in Greece in 2002 and the rest is a bit of marketing history.
