The pace seems to be picking up at Havas since Euro RSCG’s David Jones was appointed CEO and its latest move is to sign a deal with Facebook ads tool provider Blinq Media.
It doesn’t look like this is an exclusive deal as Blinq already works with much bigger agency networks WPP and Publicis Groupe. But Blinq will provide custom white-labeled (Havas-branded presumably) ad management systems plus training for Havas Digital’s 400 or so clients which may give a competitive advantage to Havas.
Blinq Media was founded in 2008 by Dave Williams (pictured), who previously founded search marketing firm 360i. Williams says Blinq can get advertisers onto Facebook much quicker than other specialists.
Havas global director of product development Rob Griffin says its Facebook spend “is already in the millions and I only see that growing exponentially.
“Blinq has best tech of those we tested, showed massive performance lifts and efficiency gains, offering big benefits for our clients and our agency, so they’re our preferred partner,” he says.
