It must be spring, Twiggy and the Marks & Spencer gals are back

Marks & Spencer may have a new CEO in Marc Bolland from Morrison’s but the new broom seems happy to stay with marketing director Steve Sharp’s top totty through the ages format, led by queen bee Sixties model Twiggy.

Casting Twiggy in the first place was a stroke of genius, she’s ever-youthful, an accomplished and likeable performer and exactly what lots of M&S shoppers of a certain age would like to be like. It wouldn’t work quite so well with, say, Prunella Scales.

Good news for agency RKCR/Y&R too if M&S stays with this format. Choose a cheesy music track and point the camera really.
