Dark magic or mumbo jumbo for VW’s new Touareg?

Let’s try to think this one through; people (especially women) are supposed to like 4x4s because of their feeling of safety, you’re way off the ground (away from those carjackers) and driving something that looks like a tank.

So you’re in charge. Maybe. Is that reasoning for this new VW Touareg ad? Something that emerges from a dark sinister forest which isn’t actually scary itself but scares off evil spirits?

It seems a pretty shaky excuse for spending £50,000 or so. But it’s the first turbocharged hybrid apparently, so that’s all right.

And agency DDB London must know what’s it’s doing. Mustn’t it?

Just the job for the school run.
