Here’s VW’s Super Bowl ‘Darth Vader’ ad – all it needed was a dog

This is the top-scoring car ad in Sunday’s Super Bowl, a pretty sound effort from Interpublic’s Deutsch for the new Passat featuring an annoying little Darth Vader.

Well it’s OK isn’t it? Sums up the Passat though, too sensible to be anything else.

And here’s Deutsche’s effort for the forthcoming new and improved VW Beetle, which lots of people seems to like.

Hope it’s better than the last Beetle, which was rubbish.
