A dealer spot at the Super Bowl? Never mess with a Chevy dude

Car companies have snaffled most of the best spots in the Super Bowl, as you would for a likely audience of more than 100 million. There’ll be lots of art and poetry.

So it’s intriguing that one of General Motors’ spots is this spoof dealer ad featuring one Al’s Chevy and referencing a forthcoming Transformers film for some reason (money probably).

It also seems to owe quite a lot to the UK Citroen ads of a few years ago when the car took shape before your eyes.

Anyway it’s messy and fun from GM marketing chief Joel Ewanick’s favourite agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.
