Will putting Marco Pierre White on the menu be a ‘bootiful’ choice for Bernard Matthews Farms?

He spreads himself a little thinly these days does old Marco Pierre White, the one-time enfant terrible of the British kitchen.

Once renowned for his brilliant food and ferocious temper he’s now mostly famous for his ferocious temper and wide range of commercial activities. Recent gigs have included Knorr stocks, P&O Cruises and a number of TV shows of which Hell’s Kitchen has been the most successful.

And now Marco has been signed to create turkey recipes for Bernard Matthews Farms, purveyors of turkey meat to a diminishing portion of the UK public.

In his day Marco tutored a number of leading chefs including Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal. One to escape his clutches was everlasting media sensation and Sainsbury’s front man Jamie Oliver who famously assassinated Bernard’s Turkey Twizzlers on his Jamie’s School Dinners Channel 4 show.

Surely Marco won’t be tempted to bring these horrid things back?

Oh yes he will, in a rather more nutritious format no doubt.
