Aim-listed Mission Marketing Group has bought the remains of Newcastle agency Robson Brown from receivership.
The company, which also owns Big Communications in Leicester, West Country-based Bray Leino and Fuse Digital, beat three former Robson Brown directors to buy the agency’s assets.
Robson Brown will now come under the thinkBDW banner, Mission’s property-based marketing specialist. The two companies formerly shared the Bellway Homes account.
Robson Brown was bought by US outfit Round2 International (where do they get these….) but collapsed under the weight of borrowings and the loss of the huge media buying account for the Dreams bed retailer. The £35m business went to Starcom in London.
It’s not known if Robson Brown and its new owners will hang on to the Dreams creative account.
