South Africa’s says ‘you die we pay’ – which might be a first in life assurance

You probably thought that was the way life insurance companies, indeed any insurance company, operated. You hand over money to insure against misfortune and they pay up.

Sadly of course they don’t, arguing the toss about any claim at all in the hope that the customer retires defeated.

Now I’ve no idea if new South African direct sell operator is any better at paying out on claims than the rest of them but this launch film/stunt, by hotshop Cape Town agency FoxP2 (the name for a gene which got us out of caves and into civilisation apparently), makes its point in a refreshingly direct way.

Different to all that UK Aviva stuff with Paul Whitehouse anyway.
