Accident-prone Virgin Media signs up Speedy Gonzales for faster broadband campaign

And a very nice little ad it is too from new agency DDB plugging Virgin Media’s new faster broadband offer (up to 100MB it seems). But only in cable areas of course.

But, while we’re on the subject, can’t Virgin put a little effort into improving its current reliably unreliable service? Customers in North London were denied coverage of local team Spurs’ rather exciting, unmissable even, Champion’s League match against Inter Milan (who won 4-3 after being four goals up) plus their online services last night.

And this is a regular occurrence with Sir Richard Branson’s media operation (the one that’s so keen to carry us into the future). He must be an Arsenal supporter.

Speedy Gonzales is a Warner Brothers Looney Tunes character. For the current Virgin offer the hapless Wile. E. Coyote might be more appropriate.
