Honey Monster returns with attitude and an eating problem

They do say that consumer brands are really the advertising rather than the product and the newish owners of Sugar Puffs in the UK (Big Bear which bought it from Quaker) have gone a stage further by trading as Honey Monster Foods, after the iconic man-in-a-hairy-suit created by creative director John Webster at BMP in the 1980s.

Agency RKCR/Y&R (isn’t it time they decided on one or the other?) has brought back the HM with a funny commercial, ‘home alone’, for new brand Honey Waffles that features the monster breaking out of captivity and trashing his owner’s home.

No doubt someone will complain about the monster’s violent ways and greed (likely to lead to obesity and level 2 diabetes according to your physician).

Good stuff anyway.
