Could Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi muscle in on Sony’s European games pitch?

Sony Boss Howard Stringer (a Welshman in case you you didn’t know) is applying his well-shod boots to advisers’ bottoms around the world in his bid to turn the company around and this includes ad reviews all over the place, sometimes for accounts you didn’t know the company had.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is currently punting around a new brief for its games (as opposed to the Playstation 3 console with TBWA) and it’s at least possible that it might look outside Europe for an agency, just as Nestle has with its new Milkybar European campaign from Santo in Brazil.

Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi in Buenos Aires recently won Sony’s Playstation account across Latin America, the first time the electronics giant has given it all to one agency.

Del Campo Saatchi has won buckets of awards at Cannes recently so its creative credentials are strong.

Stringer would really set the cat among the pigeons if he gave this brief to a Latin agency, albeit one with a very large European network.
