New General Motors marketing supremo Joel Ewanick didn’t waste any time in bumping Publicis for Goodby Silverstein on Chevrolet (and BBH for Fallon on Cadillac) and Goodby Silverstein certainly got its skates on in return by rapidly producing this ad for the new 2011 Chevy Corvette.
Featuring those boffins beloved of car advertisers all over the world, it pronounces that “America can still build rockets” such as the speedy sports car.
Apparently some of the cars are hand-built and customer can nip down to the Kentucky factory to watch it happen. This is a steal from Mercedes AMG models of course but, if you’re going to pinch an idea, make sure it’s a good one.
The car looks pretty good too.
