Jamie Oliver moves into event catering

What with all his restaurants, TV shows, books and magazines, you’d think Jamie Oliver has enough on his plate but now he’s moving into the world of events and corporate entertaining.

He’s joined up with event catering company Chili Pepper, which is parting its own brand for the present, to form Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts, which will enter the market for catering at anything from large weddings to festivals and big public events.

Let’s hope it fares better than a previous venture in this area by his charitable arm, the Fifteen Foundation, Spun off Jamie’s restaurant Fifteen, which took in unemployed youngsters and trained them to be professional chefs, Fifteen Events ran for three years before closing down in the middle of the recession.

No doubt Jamie will be targeting investment banks and the rest of the City, which seems to have plenty of spare cash for the odd corporate jolly. Silk Wedding Flowers
