Samsung takes early lead in 3D TV race

If you really need giant tabby cars waiting to pounce on you from the nearest futuristic building then Samsung’s the company for you.

The South Korean company is leading the way with the must-have kit for the World Cup, 3D LED TVs. And the Clenmow Hornby Inge ads are butting into Sony Bravia territory, hardly surprising as Samsung’s marketing director is former Sony exec Mika Martin-Cruz.

And very accomplished the campaign is too. You just know that, against your better judgement, you’re going to want one.

Even if it means that when England (or whoever you support) foul up their penalty shoot-out you’ll be able to see it in more painful detail than ever:
