Durex and Havas in Australia have produced what they claim is a ‘world first,’ Fundawear (underwear) which allows you to touch up your partner (or anyone else prepared to play) over the internet. So next time you see someone or a bus or a train anxiously consulting their mobile (as they do) then yelping suspiciously [...]

Next time the cabin staff show you the safety equipment pay attention at the back! Some such thought seems to have been in the mind of Durex Poland and its agency (Euro RSCG? Havas Polska?) for this possibly crowd-sourced film. We know birth control is supposed to be a serious issue but condoms are funny [...]

The Drum, which started in the UK as a mag featuring out-of-London ad doings, is turning into a lively old organ and it’s launched a Fauxlympics competition for spoof ads. One of the winners, from ‘Dan & Simon’ for Durex’s Performa condoms managed to fool Adweek who chose it as one of their ads of [...]

I’d been out of the UK for 10 days, during which I had deliberately denied myself access to TV or newspapers. It was my tiny but heroic revolt against the usual 24/7 news bombardment. The minute I got back and turned on the telly, there it was: wall-to-wall Olympics-themed advertising. It had gone from nowhere [...]

After years of trying not to, condom ads are getting raunchier and Durex’s new line from Euro RSCG is ‘Love Sex.’ But how do you make the point without showing the act or yet another couple coming rapidly to simmering point? Euro RSCG London has plumped for music as the key and even made it [...]

French-owned marcoms company Havas, now headed by new CEO David Jones, has posted decent first quarter figures with revenue up 9.7 per cent from €329m to €361m and claimed organic growth of 6.8 per cent. For the fifth year in a row apparently, according to Ad Age’s latest Global Marketers report which adds up the numbers. Euro RSCG, which recently added Reckitt Benkiser’s new Durex and Scholl brands, handles 72 global accounts and works with 83 of the top 100 advertisers worldwide. By billings though the agency is fifth-largest, according [...]

Well it’s not bad and it features in a new campaign by McCann Manchester for its Play range of rubs and lotions. The global account has now been consigned to Euro RSCG and new owner Reckitt Benckiser’s favourite ad man David Jones so everything will probably change but, you never know, they may be tempted [...]

Well it certainly looks like it as the former AMV/BBDO account man, who has turned round Euro RSCG almost single-handed and is now also the CEO of the Havas empire, has just added Reckitt Benckiser’s newly-acquired Scholl and Durex to the agency’s impressive line-up of RB brands. Most of the business moves from Interpublic’s McCann. [...]
