Halfords moves to Karmarama

Bikes to cars retailer Halfords has appointed Karmarama, now part of Accenture Interactive, as its new creative agency. The business, formerly with Mother, moved to Karmarama after a pitch against FCB Inferno, Iris and J. Walter Thompson.

Karmarama has become a much more formidable competitor since Nik Studzinski moved in as creative boss from Droga5 London. Halfords is a fair old creative challenge; even the resourceful Mother found it hard to create drama from cyclists. It’s also one of those mid-sized UK retailers feeling the pinch in a high street under pressure from online retailers and rising inflation.

Studzinski can get rid of that horrible wonky logo for starters.
