‘You’re so MoneySuperMarket’ tries new dance move

MoneySuperMarket and agency Mother have produced that rarest of beasts, a truly popular long-running campaign. Most recently we had pole-dancing builder Colin.

Now it’s the turn of bodyguard Gary, actually Tony Wesley from the New York City Breakers who has even performed at the White house it seems.

Why is it less convincing than some of the others? Dave was a fat blue collar guy, so his routine was surprising. You would guess that ‘Gary’ is a pro, even if you didn’t know he was. Or that Michael Jackson’s choreographer was involved.

Splitting hairs? Maybe. Such campaigns work in mysterious ways – mysterious to me anyway. No doubt fans of the campaign will love this too.

MAA creative scale: 6.
