Havas Media shuffles China operations under new management consultant boss Cases

unnamed-4Bollore-powered Havas Media Group is shuffling its assets in Asia Pacific by forming a ‘Greater China cluster’ and has hired Accenture’s Greater China MD Christophe Cases (left) to do it.

This will now be run separately from Havas Media Asia Pacific, run by Vishnu Mohan.

Since the Bollores (father Vincent and son Yannick, now CEO) took over at Havas it has grouped its agencies into so-called “villages,” believing that creative (Havas Worldwide) and all the other bits, including media, are better under one roof.

Cases, who has also worked at Capgemini, is an interesting appointment. Consultants like Accenture have been eating agencies’ lunches for the past decade or so and Havas clearly thinks it’s time to regain its seat at the top table.

Cases says: “I am very excited to be joining Havas Media Group at this exciting stage of its global evolution. There is an established momentum within the group. Its integrated proposition combining creative, media, data, content, and range of digital specialties is getting a lot of attention from stakeholders in the industry. I look forward to leveraging this energy and the group’s vision to accelerate its growth and expansion in one of the world’s largest and most exciting economies.”

The Havas Greater China cluster includes China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
