McCann London launches Subway’s training regime for the London Olympics

Here’s a cheeky ad for Subway from McCann London – not only does it use Olympic hopefuls boxer Anthony Ogogo and pole vaulter Holly Bleasdale (thought you weren’t supposed to do Olympics unless you’re a first tier sponsor) but it also positions Subs as healthy fast food, ‘Train Hard, Eat Fresh,’ an ingenious notion.

Sworn enemy and first tier sponsor McDonald’s won’t be amused. But it’s an interesting point made well, with none of that ‘Chariots of Fire’ faster, further, higher stuff.

The copywriter was Imogen Jones and the art director Lianne Galazka.
