One-time front-running Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney was the guy who was finally going to prove to all the sceptics that advertising works – by winning the Republican nomination just because he had a much bigger ad budget than any of his rivals.
But main rival Rick Santorum, who beat Romney in Colorado, Minnesota and Missouri, seems to have found some benefactors and has whacked some of the money into this rather good ad accusing multi-millionaire and former Massachusetts governor Romney of being Barack Obama in disguise on the ever-controversial healthcare front (and spending zillions trying to zap his rivals).
Rick clearly has a sense of humour (or someone close to him has). Pity then about the candidate’s policies, he seems to be against most useful things including contraception. Even by the standards of Republican fruitcakes this is a bit rich.
