Foster’s new good call ad is just too ‘Australian’

Foster’s may have a new UK agency, Adam & Even in place of longstanding M&C Saatchi but you’d hardly know it from its first ad in a new campaign called ‘good call.’

It has two ockers on the line to some berk in England who’s asking them daft questions and, inevitably, they’re in a beach hut with a blonde carrying a fish peering expectantly through the window.

So ‘good call’ see?

Now we some some Australians are like that, fine, although even the Brits aren’t as daft as our friend is depicted here. But aren’t there a few other dimensions to Antipodeans that ads like these might explore?

Judging by UK agency land there aren’t.
